Just as the year ends, here comes a song to really close things out on an emotional note. With a passionate and catchy bang, 2020 ends with Key Loch’s “WHERE IS THE LOVE?” Ordior are proud to tell you: the love is squarely located in this amazing single from our partner company Blue Pie.
Key Loch are Damien Reilly and Justin Gross. They are the founders of the 90’s power Aussie Rock Band Southpaw www.southpawmuzik.com. They bring together a production history between them of 50 years of song writing and playing live music in Australia. And this time, the duo are featuring a third member to their killer ensemble, that being Avery May Parker! A sweet and soulful performance in every lyric, Avery’s voice and Key Loch’s expert playing guarantee that every time you listen to “Where Is The Love”, it’ll hit you right where it counts.
Passionate releases are our favourites. Here at Ordior, it’s critical to us that we’re helping artists get off the ground and spread their wings, which just can’t be done without some capital behind it nowadays! That’s why Ordior is proud to be supporting Key Loch’s rights and managing their royalties. Now, any copyright issues that occur, or any unclaimed or otherwise lost royalties generated from Key Loch’s work, will be safely dealt with. Key Loch’s rights are protected proudly by Ordior, and any royalties that would otherwise become abandoned in the void of the vast internet, will now be funneled directly into the deserving hands of the rights-holders. We want to see artists like this following their dreams and making even more great music, and they can’t do that without some returns on their work – that’s why we’re here!
And indeed, the returns that Key Loch generate would be well deserved, especially in the eyes of some of the more nostalgic music fans in the audience. This album is a modern love letter to the mo-town smash hits of old, and that’s clear to see from the artwork, done by our very own Chloé Ruiz. The passion in this work is clear to see, not to mention the fact that Chloé took the vibe and ran with it! They don’t make covers like this any more, and it takes a proper mo-town throwback like this to bring it all together!
Working with a global network of producers and artists, Key Loch has one mantra, and that is to make and produce great music and great artists. The first release from these two music masters is this very song, ” Where is the love ” Ft Avery May Parker on the vocals. The song was co-written by Justin and Damien’s former band mate in Southpaw, the lyricist Mr Maurice Morgan. This song is bringing the mo-town sound back to USA from down-under. An amazing feat when you think about it in terms of traditional music output from Australia.
Not to mention Chris Garcia himself (yes, THE Chris Garcia!) helping to produce and arrange this amazing title! Between him and Maurice, this is an all-star cast that makes you say “well no wonder this track is so good!”
And what do you know, we even have the lyrics for this new hit!
============================
Verse 1:
Come on baby, take my hand
We’ll walk that long and winding road and we’ll make a stand
In a circular world we all keep going round round round
On that slippery slope of life we’re all bound to fall down
And then I say
Chorus 1:
Where is the love I’ve tried
Why all the heartaches and lies
But the world keeps moving on
It just keeps on moving on
And then I say
Verse 2:
In a real live moment real love shown through
I pledged myself right then and there I belong to you
But girl you laughed right in my face I could have died
My poor old heart just fell apart when you said goodbye
And then I said
Chorus 2:
Where is the love, I tried
Why all the heartache and lies
But the world keeps movin on
It just keeps on movin on
Verse 3:
Now it’s ten years later in a crowded room
I see your sad and lonely face all filled with gloom
You know I saw you standing there when I walked through the door
But our time is gone it’s over now, can’t be anymore
Chorus 3:
Where is the love, I tried
Why all the heartache and lies
But the world keeps movin on
It Just keeps on movin on
Verse 4:
You had your chance before you blew it
You threw the game and we both knew it
I don’t have the time to go back through it
That time is gone
Love is a game that is hard to win
Especially when you bring it to an end
I don’t have the strength to begin again
So I’m saying so long
Where is the love x6

But that’s not all. This track has had a lot of love put into it… in fact, simply by listening to “Where Is The Love?”, you already answer the question in the title – the love is right in this incredible music, and can be found throughout it! Produced and recorded by Gabriel Rizza, arranged in California at the Chris Garcia Palace Studios, mixed by Tom Polce and mastered by Phil Soussan right out of Australia’s own Iiconic Studios, this track has pulled no punches from the very beginning and has made sure to try and stand out.
The year of 2020 has been rubbish but one of the ways that “Where Is The Love” tries to fight this is by being a beacon of hope coming out right at year’s end. This song is all about moving on to better things, demanding more than the scraps that have been doled out, which we can all do in our everyday lives! Because we deserve to.
We deserve more than the hands life deals us. We can stack the decks every corner we turn, and songs like this are an excellent way to do that – they’re the aces up our sleeves. It doesn’t matter what life has planned for us – we’re taking charge now. Destiny doesn’t exist and “Where Is The Love” is here to spit in the face of fate. Passion is the spark of those among us who have agency, and the many names mentioned above are just some of the human race who live by that mantra of passion… and we’re willing to bet that you, too, dear reader, also live by that mantra. So why hide it? Play that music loud and seize the reins back into your hands. You run this town.
The future is bright and Key Loch are wearing shades as they unlock the musical doors of your mind and fill it full of great music. This is the beginning of something amazing and the world can never have enough of GREAT music.
