As the title suggests, The Eastside Boyz are rising to a new level of stardom in China! We have TENCENT to thank for this – Ordior’s partner, they’ve worked alongside us to help get the music we support distributed into the greener pastures of all-new Chinese markets.

Our streaming numbers have indicated something interesting… China is on a bit of a hip-hop binge lately! They’re loving The Eastside Boyz, as well as DL Down3r, Zya Mou, and even Barry Crocker, but we’ll come back to that in a series of future articles… As far as the Boyz go, the KINGS OF CRUNK reign supreme. The Eastside Boyz is one of those hip hop groups that have earned the elusive status of “permanent classics”. You probably recognize most of their work from the late 90s and early 2000s, and even hearing their name might take some readers back! Either way, it seems China is discovering some vintage work or is indulging in nostalgia – very relatable in times such as these. But nostalgia isn’t all there is on offer. The Boyz have left their mark on the modern musical world too, with hits such as GETTEM, the promo they did with the Atlanta Falcons!

With hits such as these and many more now finding new life on the internet, it’s important that The Eastside Boyz have their rights protected. This is what Ordior is working hard towards. Now, any of the Boyz’s royalties that would otherwise become lost or unclaimed will now be delivered to their deserving hands and to the hands of the rights holders, and any copyright or rights management disputes that crop up will be managed with care and precision.
